Carol's loves, after her husband, have always been traveling and meeting people. It is true that she has never met a stranger. Her life has followed that path since she left Milwaukee to attend the University of Wisconsin, study in London, travel through Europe, teach in Wisconsin and Fort Lauderdale, and her moves to Florida, The US Virgin Islands, Steamboat Springs, and Norman, Oklahoma.

Always an adventure lover, she accepted a job as a chef/first mate on a charter yacht based in St. Thomas, then continued working on larger corporate and private yachts along the East Coast from Florida to Massachusetts. However, she had a passion for the mountains, so she moved to Steamboat in 1985.

She spent her first decade in Steamboat in various hospitality and banking industry positions including as a restaurant manager, manager of the Steamboat Bed and Breakfast, and reservations manager of a local property management company. Interestingly, all her jobs involved being with people, listening to them, and developing solutions while giving her the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, to travel to over 35 countries, and live for a few months in Canberra, Australia, with her husband.

She got her Broker's license in 1996 and she sold real estate while also acting as an owner's representative for a man who had nine Steamboat properties in nightly rental with five different property management companies. In 2000, she moved with her husband to Norman, OK, where she continued as an asset manager for the rental properties, making frequent trips back to Colorado. In 2008, Carol and her husband moved back to Colorado where they split time between Denver and Steamboat, until 2015 when they resumed full time residence in Steamboat. Carol joined Steamboat Sotheby's International Realty in 2016. Like most Steamboat residents, Carol loves being in Steamboat not only for its natural beauty but for its warm, friendly inhabitants. Carol is an avid skier, hiker, and cyclist with some whitewater rafting for variety. She also has a passion for creative cooking and reading. Carol and her husband have four grandchildren ranging in age from 9 months to 9 years, who all live in the Dallas area.
