This is why chlorophyll A & B both absorb blue photons over red photons at a ratio of 2:1.
Most people are led to believe that plants are using yellow, orange or red over blue. This is because there are more red and orange colors coming through the atmosphere during the fall. We discovered that plants need for blue does not decrease even though the environment changes. Efforts made by other lighting companies to fully utilize these highly energetic blue photons were futile.
